Explore Adelaide's own dolphin sanctuary and shipwreck heritage trail around Garden Island by kayak. We offer tours with small groups only to ensure you receive the very best on the tour. This half day trip is ideal for families and people who just want to relax and soak up the heritage this area has to offer. The lush forest of Grey Mangroves provides a haven for extensive bird and sea life.

Duration:
Half day

People per certificate:
Certificate covers 1 person.

You will be taken through wonderful mangrove lined creeks and see a wealth of bird life and sea creatures along with shipwrecks and the resident dolphins. There are over 25 shipwrecks scattered around this area. Some were grand sailing ships others were tugs or barges each with its own unique history including one of the very first iron built ships in the world.    Located only 25 minutes from Adelaide CBD at Garden Island it makes it easy access for a day which is out of the ordinary. Tours run from Spring to late Autumn and are conducted in double sea kayaks, which are easy to paddle, stable and very comfortable. It is very likely that you will see dolphins on this trip. Sometimes they are a few hundred metres away from you and other times they may swim right next to you! However, because dolphins are wild creatures there is no guarantee that

Participant guidelines:
Children can be catered for as long as they are accompanied by and adult. 

Numbers on day:
Small group size will ensure you have the best experience on the day. If you wish to organise your own group we can cater private groups up to 70 people.

What to bring/Dress code:
Loose fitting clothing appropriate for the weather. Personal medication. snacks for the day. Water – approx ½L-l per hour on hot days Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses (with neck cord), cameras. Old shoes that can get wet 

Availability:
Activity available most weekends between spring and autumn occasions weekends during winter. 

Weather:
The weather may dictate the plans on the day and the experience's activity may need to postpone if: The weather forecast for the day, exceeds 34 degrees, days of rain periods, storms, total fire band or extreme wind conditions. On days like these the vendor will try to contact you the night before. If they haven’t contacted you and you are unsure about the weather conditions please feel free to contact them.

Other:
Rock Solid Adventure holds the right to cancel or change any course dates where they feel the safety of clients and staff my incur an increase of normal risk that is associated with the activity or course. Where there is a cancellation of a booking by the client after the confirmation of booking for the activity or course prior to 30 days will incur a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellations within 30 days will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
