The Barn Bistro is set in a restored 1840's coach way-station and has been one of McLaren Vales most popular restaurants since 1970. Enjoy the rustic surroundings, fine food, hospitality and an extensive selection of McLaren Vale wines and vintages. Step back in time when you visit The Barn, built in 1816 from convict-cut sandstone, The Barn was originally the stables and servants' quarters to John Warby's cattle farm, housing up to 40 convict servants at any given time, so it is not surprising that we have a resident ghost, albeit a friendly one! The Barn Restaurant 1816 gives you the best Modern Australian cuisine with old world hospitality and service. Set in the historical setting of our 190 year old, heritage listed building.
