Nestled within 50 acres of rolling pastures, the Estate is set amidst an extensive formal garden of box hedges, rose gardens, herbaceous borders and sweeping lawns to the lake's edge. Affectionately known as Woodmans, the Estate's restaurant boasts an opulently decorated dining room well-suited to formal dining and romantic rendezvous.
Guests can also enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner from the Modern Australian menu on the terrace or by the lakes edge. A post prandial stroll around the lake between courses is a must and there is also a drawing and billiards room for pre or post dinner drinks.
The Formal Dining Room boasts Victorian opulance, fine silverware and the best crystal glassware. Formal lunch and dinner packages are available. The elegant Brassiere and adjoining Terrace showcases the best local and seasonal produce from the region, complimented by the estates extensive herb gardens. The food is paired with wine from the Estate's cellar that is full of Mornington Peninsula drops, as well as varietals from other regions of Australia and overseas. Woodman Estate also serves high tea every Sunday from 3:30pm, where a classic menu of finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones with jam and cream as well as cakes and slices is served. Bookings for high tea are essential.
