Full Description

What you will learn:
By the end of course the student will
1. Understand basic Japanese ingredients
2. Earn how to cook better sushi rice incl. sushi vinegar
3. Learn how to make sushi
maki (sushi-roll) / Nigiri (hand-formed) / temaki (hand-roll)
4. Learn how to select and judge sashimi quality fish incl. cleaning and filleting
5. Learn how to cook chicken teriyaki for handroll sushi

Please arrive on time as there is a lot to learn and go through and you want to be able to sit down and enjoy your meal within the allocated time frame.

People per certificate:
1 person.

Participant Guidelines:
Bring your own apron (not mandatory). BYO wines or Japanese sake are welcome to enjoy dishes you made. Neat casual dress with flat non-slip shoes and no jewellery.

Numbers on Day:
This certificate is for one person. There is a minimum of 8 and maximum 15 people per class. In the event that minimum numbers are not met, we reserve the right to reschedule your class for a later date.

Duration:
This is a 3 hour experience.

Availability:
Classes run on Saturdays about three times a month, beginning at 10am and finishing at 1pm. Bookings are essential and subject to availability.

Weather:
Does not affect this class.

Spectators:
Spectators are welcome, however, please contact Sushi School beforehand.
