Explore 3000 acres of lush green valleys and ancient rainforest trails at Australia’s largest horse riding centre. You will be provided with an unforgettable 2 hour horse riding experience, riding through unspoilt Australian bush and cantering across lush green valleys.

Enjoy free range or guided horse riding less than one hour from Sydney or Newcastle. You can ride through unspoilt Australian bush and canter across lush green valleys. Discover the shady canopy of the rainforest trail, meander along the banks of Popran Creek, the purest tributary to the Hawkesbury River and then arrive at the natural rock pools where you can take a well earned break from the saddle and enjoy a refreshing swim.

While you relax, keep an eye out for the abundant wildlife, including wallabies, lyrebirds, cockatoos, king parrots and bellbirds. Altogether there are 50kms of unspoilt wilderness trails to explore.

Take a relaxing 2 hour free range or guided ride with one of the friendly guides to assist you. There are 200 quality horses to choose from with challenging horses for expert riders through to gentle horses for nervous beginners.

The experienced staff will match one of the quality horses to your level of experience. All riders are given full instruction before leaving the yards.

  • Participant Guidelines:
    This tour is for all ages from 7 years. Children between 7 and 18 years must have written parental consent to participate.
  • Numbers on Day:
    You will be in a group on the day of up to 10 people and accompanied by an experienced guide.
  • What to Bring / Dress Code:
    Recommend loose fitting pants. Footwear should ideally be boots or shoes with a flat sole and small heal. Flat soled sand shoes are O.K. Depending on the weather it is suggest that clients bring sunscreen, insect repellent & brimmed hat.
  • Duration:
    2 hour horse riding in Glenworth Valley.
  • Availability:
    Tour operates 7 days a week. Rides depart weekdays at 10am and 2pm and weekends at 9.30am, 12pm and 2pm. Please book at least 2 days in advance of your preferred date. During peak times (school holidays and public holidays) the rides are very busy, so book early

  • Weather:
    In the case of bad weather conditions the ride may be moved to another date. Contact the operator on the day for current conditions.

    Weight Restriction For safety and animal welfare reasons, Glenworth Valley has a maximum weight limit of 110kg. Please be aware that the maximum weight limit may be lower than 110kgs and is subject to variation on a daily basis according to what horses are available for work on the day that you attend. In addition to a person's weight, whether there is a suitable horse available also depends upon a riders height to weight ratio, riding experience, general muscle tone and fitness levels. P
