Exhilaration meets indulgence on the Bruny Wildlife Adventure cruise, departing from the Hobart waterfront.

An unforgettable journey blending Tasmania’s natural beauty, wildlife, and superb food and wine. Your expedition begins and ends in Hobart aboard the luxury catamaran Peppermint Bay II and includes an incredible cruise off Bruny Island, and into the Southern Ocean aboard the state-of-the-art exploration vessel Adventure.

You’ll experience South Bruny’s sculpted coastline and abundant wildlife including soaring sea eagles, sleek dolphins and tiny penguins, and travel into the mystical Southern Ocean where graceful albatross and migrating whales are regular visitors. Here, you’re Bruny Island cruise takes you into the heart of a remote Australian fur seal colony including live vision from the Adventure’s undersea cameras.

After your unforgettable wildlife expedition, you’ll experience Bruny Island’s gourmet delights. Sample fresh Get shucked Pacific Oysters and some of Tasmania’s finest cheeses. Indulge in a delicious, individual lunch platter of fresh regional produce, and discover HIBA, home of Bruny Island Fudge. Sample sweet treats, learn about the fudge making in progress, or perhaps browse in the Bruny Island Providore.

Your adventure ends with the return cruise to Hobart, reflecting on the ultimate day of exhilaration and adventure, luxury and relaxation.

  • People per certificate:
    Certificate covers 2 adults.
  • Participant Guidelines:
    There is no minimum age. All ages are welcome. It is a condition of carriage of the vessel Adventure that you: - are over 130cm in height - are not pregnant - do not have an existing back injury - do not suffer a heart condition
  • Numbers on Day:
    Tours operate with a minimum of 15 passengers and a maximum of 48 passengers.
  • What to Bring / Dress Code:
    Adventure gear provided, including full length expedition jacket but please dress warmly with fully enclosed shoes.
  • Duration:
    Departs Hobart, boarding at 8.00 am and returns 4.30 pm daily.
  • Availability:
    The Bruny Wildlife Adventure runs daily from the 1st December– 31st May. Limited sailings June – September, call the Cruise Centre for more details.

  • Weather:
    All cruises are subject to weather conditions. 48 hours notice is required for cancellation, or a 100% cancellation fee will be incurred.
  • Spectators:
    Not applicable.
  • Other:
