Board the helicopter for a flight to the Bass Valley and enjoy a personal tour, wine tasting and lunch.

This is the best way to indulge in a wine tour – aboard your personal helicopter. Your tour starts with a briefing from the very experienced pilot, then a scenic 15-minute flight to the Bass Valley Estate Winery. Your flight will take you from Phillip Island over Westernport Bay and into the hills, with views of French Island, the Dandenongs and even Melbourne on a clear day.

Located in the extremely picturesque Bass Valley, the Bass Valley Estate Winery is a small, family run boutique winery. On arrival you will be treated like a movie star. You will start with a personal tour of the winery by the head winemaker. Learn about the varieties the winery is known for, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Riesling.

Then it’s time for a scrumptious ploughman’s lunch, full of local cheeses, home-made damper and lots more tasty treats - all washed down with a glass of their award winning wine.

People per certificate:
Certificate covers two people.

Participant Guidelines:
As this trip involves a drink or two, this particular flight would only be suitable for those 18 years or over.

Numbers on Day:
You, your friend and the pilot. You may take one additional person, prices is around $172.

What to Bring / Dress Code:
Wear comfortable clothing with flat shoes and a camera.

Duration:
This experience is 2-3 hours in duration. This includes approximately 15 minutes flight time each way and 1.5 hours or a little more exploring the winery. Exact departure time will be confirmed at the time of booking.

Availability:
The time and day of the tour is up to you. Phillip Island Helicopters is open during daylight hours, usually around 9pm in the summer and around 6pm in the winter, 364 days a year.

Weather:
Low cloud in the Bass Hills can occassionally affect this experience. In the case of cancellation, certificate holders can organise another time.

Spectators:
Spectators can watch the helicopter take off and land.
