Scott Winter has had many years of experience in singing, not just as a vocal/confidence coach but as an accomplished recording artist/performer. He was signed to Sony BMG in Europe for seven years as part of a very successful European-based boy band, achieving top twenty album and single hits across Europe and Asia. Scott owes all of his success to the Forward Voice Technique.

He was trained by Eugene Thompson at the Aria School of Voice, London. Eugene Thompson was one of the lead singers of the "Stylistics", a very successful Motown band. This highly-regarded educator is a devoted advocate of this way of teaching.

The Forward Voice Technique is a relatively new method established by vocal coaches in the Soul/R&B/Gospel musical areas in Detroit, USA around the 1960's. Many major record companies have taken on vocal coaches that master this technique and apply it to the conditioning of their newly-signed acts.

Scott covers all areas of vocal training, beginning with the physiological aspects. Then gradually you move through the acoustical development, rounding off with the psychological approach to singing. You will learn to use the voice correctly as a tool to expel not just "air from the lungs" but emotion from the soul.

Scott says, "Where is the voice?". Many well-trained singers, students and even tutors often give a blank look when asked this question. Once answered, The Forward Voice Technique will continue to make great sense to the student. The more you understand, the more you know. There is no knowing without understanding, no understanding without knowing. This wise philosophy can only lead to a more educated artist and in practice, a stronger and better tone.

The Forward Voice Technique works on making the student aware of what the voice is and more importantly, where it is! This allows them to manipulate their vocal apparatus to their best advantage, decreasing abuse of the instrument through ignorance and poor lifestyle. Confidence is also gained along the way. Although knowledge and confidence are power to the would-be artist, confidence should only be on par with ability. Your attitude is everything.
