Once in a lifetime sailing experience on the America's Cup yacht 'Spirit' on Sydney Harbour.

Guided by a small professional crew and skipper, guests are welcome to participate in the sailing as much or as little as they wish. No experience is necessary.

Sit back and enjoy, or man the grinders, trim the sails and take the helm as we glide past the famous sights of our wonderful harbour in the most unique and enjoyable way. Let Kookaburra arrange everything for you - including "On Board" catering and beverages.

'Spirit' was designed, built and skippered by Iain Murray as the 'people's challenger' for the America's Cup raced in San Diego in 1992.

Made from state-of-the-art composites, using the very latest construction methods and carrying a sail area almost twice that of the previous America's Cup, 12 Metre yachts, Spirit delivers an awesome experience for sailors and non-sailors alike.
Additional Information
  • People per certificate:
    30 people maximum.
  • Participant Guidelines:
    All participants must be able to move freely without aids or assistance. Children under 16 yrs of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. All participants will be required to sign an 'Acceptance of Risk' form. Please contact our office if you would like to receive a copy in advance.
  • Numbers on Day:
    This certificate covers up to 30 people.
  • What to Bring / Dress Code:
    Wear comfortable clothing, soft-soled, non-marking shoes, sunglasses, warm jacket and cap. Cameras welcome.
  • Duration:
    This is a standard 3 hour charter. Additional hours can be added - please contact our office.
  • Availability:
    Chartering of the yacht is available upon request. Please contact our office to discuss your needs.

  • Weather:
    We sail in most conditions including rain. In the event of extreme inclement weather such as high winds, storms and lightning etc, we reserve the right to cancel your experience and reschedule for a later date. If your experience is cancelled we will endeavour to contact you as soon as possible.
  • Spectators:
    Guests may participate as much or as little as they wish. You are welcome to sit back and simply enjoy the ride!
